Hey it’s me again, I’m new to swing trading and trying to figure out the best way to pick stocks. What criteria do you use to choose which stocks to trade for swings? Any tips on what to look for or what works well for you would be helpful!

I do an evening scan in my screener with the following criteria:

Price > $5

Avg Volume > 1M

Price near 20 EMA

RSI between 30–70 (not overbought/oversold)

What screener are you using?

Stocks with liquidity/volume. This will help you get in and out without issues, and crucially, with tight spreads. If you go for stocks on big indices like the S&P or Nasdaq you’ll ususally find enough liquidity. Look for daily volatility too (ATR can help here). Low volatility stocks just drift.
