Which LATAM country are you based in?

Then we may be able to point you towards:

• Platforms with access to domestic securities, for example Interactive Brokers offers around 100 Mexican and Brazilian stocks as you can see below.
• Trading accounts based in your native currency, for example the Brazilian Real or Mexican Peso.
• Brokers regulated in your local jurisdiction, for example the Securities & Exchange Commission of Brazil or another trusted financial body.

I rate eToro for its great user experience, neat platform and bucket loads of markets that cover LATAM regions but if you’re set on day trading I’d probably skip it because its fees aren’t the lowest and I know people who’ve had problems with stock trades taking a while to go through.

I be in Mexico so good for links to see peso firms. eToro I get many adverts on but as a frequent trader yh could not be best one.

Hi Letícia,

The CNBV has a directory of licensed financial services providers. However, the regulatory regime is still evolving in Mexico and there aren’t many locally registered day trading firms.

As a result, many Mexicans use trusted international brokers that are regulated by other respected bodies. But this route carries risks – you may not get the same level of protection afforded by local companies. The CNBV has also warned against using unauthorized firms.
