XTB Launches Share Dealing In The UK

XTB, a top-rated brokerage, is introducing direct stock trading in the United Kingdom. Investors can access major exchanges, including the London Stock Exchange (LSE) and New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). The share dealing offering will be welcome news to longer-term traders and passive investors.

Fresh Investment Opportunities

Until now, clients in the UK could only trade stock CFDs. These leveraged derivatives offer attractive short-term trading opportunities, but investors are increasingly looking to directly deal in shares to build diverse portfolios. They also appeal to casual, hands-off investors.

Traders in the UK can buy and sell shares from European and US stock markets, plus ETFs from European markets.

British investors will have access to the local LSE, providing exposure to blue-chip stocks like Shell, Barclays and Unilever. Traders can also take positions in a range of sectors and industries from large European markets, including the Deutsche Boerse.

Commission-Free Stock Trading

As part of the new offering, investors benefit from low to zero commission fees. Real shares and ETFs are available with no commission up to €100,000 per month. Investments of €100,000 and above will incur a competitive 0.2% commission with a €10 minimum charge per trade.

CEO of XTB, Omar Arnaout, commented on the news: “We strive to democratise financial markets. Therefore, expanding the product offer for investors in the UK is a natural step in this direction. We are constantly working on our development both in terms of products and technology”.

Arnaout added: “Our experience from other European markets shows a great interest in real stocks and ETFs. I am glad that more investors will have broader opportunities to implement their chosen investment strategies”.

The free market audio commentary was a key bonus for us, a service that usually incurs a charge. The stock screener is also useful for aspiring equity investors.
