Vantage FX Launches Pro Account For Aussie Traders
Top forex broker, Vantage FX, has strengthened its offering for Australian traders with an account for professional investors. Eligible traders benefit from high leverage caps while retaining negative balance protection and segregated accounts with the National Australia Bank (NAB).

News of the account comes as Australia brings in fresh leverage caps for retail CFD traders. The rules, introduced on 29th March 2021, capped retail leverage to 1:30 on forex majors and 1:20 on gold.
Pro Account Requirements
To qualify for the pro account, users need to meet the Individual Wealth Test and show they have either:
- A$2.5 million in net assets
- Gross income of A$250,000 for the last two consecutive years
Alternatively, clients can meet the Sophisticated Investor Test by:
- Completing the broker’s short online quiz
- Executing at least 30 trades per quarter (for any 4 quarters in the last 2 years)
- Trade a minimum of A$500,000 in each of the 4 quarters
Note, traders that do not meet professional account requirements can still trade under retail conditions, including zero pip spreads with the Vantage FX Raw account.
