Serious question — is it actually possible to trade intraday without staring at candlesticks all day?

I’m talking no TA, no indicators, no chart setups. Just raw price, maybe news, maybe order flow.

Is anyone doing this and not blowing up?

No charts, no TA, no indicators — you’re basically going in blind. Even price action is a form of TA. Unless you’re trading off pure order flow like a prop desk vet, you’re probably just guessing and calling it “instinct.”

The market’s already hard — don’t fight it with a blindfold on.

Without charts or indicators, how are you managing risk? Where’s your entry, your exit, your stop?

I’m thinking manage risk using fixed position sizing, predefined price or time-based stops, and set profit targets?

Entries and exits are then driven by rules based on price levels, news events, or data triggers rather than visual patterns.

So everything is still planned ahead. It’s structured, not reactive?

Hey, I only really know of prop traders doing thios, especially futures scalpers using DOM, footprint, or price ladder tools.

                  Short answer: Yes.

Long answer: Yes, but it’s an entirely different game, and most people aren’t wired for it.
