      Hello,

I’m in search of a list of the stocks active traders tend to deal in? Is there a list of the ‘best stocks for day traders’ taking into account liquidity, volatility, availability and pricing and the such?

Has anyone built anything like this and willing to share it? I am agnostic about region and sector.

      Thank you.

Ain’t seen a list like that myself, but there’s hella free stuff out there that can help. NASDAQ and MarketWatch got them “most active” lists where you can peep which stocks are gettin the most action in short time frames.

I will take a look at the one from Nasdaq. MarketWatch I’ve used before but it’s a little clunky. Their pre-market screener is useful though.

Have you tried Yahoo Finance’s Gainers and Losers? You can check out the largest market movers on a daily basis so it ispretty nifty for finding stocks with plenty of price action.

I’ve been checking this out and looks neat. The ‘most active’ and ‘trending now’ filters are intereting too, though some more info on what makes them trending exactly would be useful

I would use a stock screener like TradingView or Finviz.

They are quick and easy to use and you can filter by various metrics like price change, size etc to find potential day trading opportunities.

You can see a basic version of mine below from TradingView which focuses on the US transportation sector.

Yeah I realyl don’t get on with the screener at Finviz. It feels like something from Windows XP era. Which is bizarre given how slick their social updates are.

Haha I know what you mean. Something tells me the developers of the screener do not spend time with the social media team.
